Our journey started in 2018 with the introduction of our first high CBD, low THC strain to
be available in the US. This was one of the first commercial feminized CBD genetics that
was the result of years of research. It wasn’t until the regulations caught up in the form of
the US Farm Bill that the CBD revolution truly took off. In the 2019 season our genetics
were grown all over the US, with hundreds of farmers growing 20 million hemp plants for
CBD production. But we always had Europe in mind.

Starting the process of introducing our genetics into Europe in 2020, we were told that it
would be impossible to be approved with the current regulations in place, however we
were determined to prove them wrong. EU regulators were seeing CBD products being
introduced in EU shops, but none of it was grown in Europe and so we were approved to
start our 2 year testing program together with the EU department of agriculture. Working
closely with them on locations in Bulgaria, Italy and Spain to showcase our organic growing practices for our seeds and CBD hemp cultivation. It also gave us the opportunity to
discuss new regulations with regulatory agencies across the Union. We are now finally
seeing a shift in policy and governments are recognizing the importance and potential of
CBD hemp as an industry in Europe.
